Ronn
has been a pioneer of the Buyer Broker movement in the Boston area. He
first entered the real estate field in the early 80’s as an investor,
and began representing home buyers exclusively in February of 1990. He
has lectured to Real Estate boards and local offices throughout the state
in an effort to broaden the understanding and cooperation between traditional
agents and buyer agents.
Ronn chaired the 1997 Buyer
Broker Advisory Committee for the Mass Association of Realtors and was
the president of the Mass Association of Buyer’s Agents from 1996 to 1998.
Ronn also serves on the advisory board of the Real Estate Institute and
is on their part-time faculty at North Shore Community College.
Ronn also holds numerous Realtor
and Buyer Broker designations (ABR, CEBA,CBR, CRS,GRI, MCBA) that qualify
him well in the residential Buyer Broker arena. His educational background
includes a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from Case-Western
Reserve University and he is a graduate of their Advanced Management Program.
His Bachelor’s degree is in Business Administration.
Prior to his real estate career
Ronn worked as a counselor, trainer, and youth advocate for Young Life.
Ronn also has a theological education and as a former paid member of the
pastoral staff of Community Covenant Church in West Peabody, Ronn continues
now in a volunteer status of Assisting Pastor along with Dr. Timothy Johnson.
Within the real estate industry
Ronn has been very active in the North Shore Association of Realtors where
he is currently an elected Director. He is also past chairman of the Education
Committee and currently serves on the Professional Standards Committee.
He was elected as a state director for the Mass Association of Realtors
and sits on arbitration panels for his local and state associations. He
has written numerous real estate articles and has been quoted locally
and nationally as an authority in Buyer Brokerage.
Ronn was chosen 1996 Ambassador
of the Year - a national award presented by Buyer’s Resource. The Banker
& Tradesman awarded him the title of Visionary as a part of their
125th year anniversary in 1997.
Ronn has also been active in
community affairs and served on numerous boards including Cape Ann Board
of Mental Health, Health Quarters, Hamilton and Peabody ministerium, and
the Hamilton-Wenham Community Service Board. He and his wife Bonnie were
awarded the Hamilton-Wenham Community Service Award in 1980.
