During the spring of 1996, Tieh was elected President of the National Association of Exclusive Buyer Agents (NAEBA), an independent alliance of real estate agents who do not take property listings and whose companies work exclusively for buyers. He is also Chairman of NAEBA's Professional Standards Committee which promulgates standards of service that real estate buyers should expect when working with a buyer's agent.
